Project VMC February Report










Hello Everyone!
February has been an interesting month for development as much of the time has been dedicated to programming to ensure all of the different aspects of the game are functioning before creating assets to fill all the placeholders. Almost all of the base mechanics are in the battle system and only a few things remain before I can dedicate time fully to asset creation.
Per suggestions across Itchio and subscribestar, I've kept some of the previews to cropped/zoomed in vs showing everything; however, there has already been quite a few things shown for some characters so I've decided to include them in full.
For those that are unaware, I have what is called Aphantasia which is the inability to see mental images when trying to formulate ideas. Basically, if I said, 'Picture an Apple" people are apparently able to visualize some form of an apple be it a vague grey blob, a circle, a grey apple, a red apple, or a 3d apple that you gave a tophat and it now is break dancing in your mind. When I close my eyes all I see is the black void of nothingness. Given that, I've created several design sheets so I know what these various characters look like from a few different angles and how their clothing works. They will be drawn a lot throughout the game so it will help me out and provides some design work for you.
There are a few mechanics that I haven't revealed yet about the game and how it is slightly different than Mira Co Rescue; however, all I can say for now is there are a lot of different opportunities for peril to happen in combat. More on that later.
With the cold weather season in full swing, I'd like to remind those in more frigid areas of the world to keep an eye on car batteries and making sure you replace them before they stop working in sub zero temperatures. Remember to stay safe out there!
On a side note, Monster Hunter World is releasing Feb. 28th and that will take up a little bit of my time as my wife and I are pretty excited about it. I will still be doing game dev but there may be a small break here next week due to that release and attending a Wedding in early march.

Crazyy, I got aphantasia too! Your art is truly amazing though, and I hope you take all the time in the world that you need for all your projects <3
When do you plan to show off Project VMC? Like is there an itch page or steam page for it?
There will be a new itchio page once I get a demo out for Project VMC.
I'm looking forward to it! I love your games, and you're one of the few artists who do feet perfectly in a game. Most don't, or when they do, it's more of a 'cock tease' type of game where there are no sexual actions at all. So I'm happy to see more projects by you and your team!
