Concept Art - Two Trios / Two Game Concepts
Update 10/17/2024: Added an example of the wider game screen for Project VMC to accommodate the 6 characters on screen for battles. UI is still being determined as the changes I've made to how images are presented allow for more flexibility for the battle system if I don't need to use what Mira Co Rescue had.
Update 10/11/2024: Added the Sketch of another enemy from Project VMC: An Amazoness.
Update 10/11/2024 Pt 2: Added the Fairy Goddess, a boss enemy.
Update 10/8/2024: Added the Sketch of one of the enemies from Project VMC: An Elf. Since the enemies are also a focus of peril I am giving the enemies varying poses so they are not just carbon copies of the same sprite three times (or more). While each enemy will have the three types of perils the protagonist witches can deal out, I don't believe each 'enemy slot' will have different variations of the same peril. In other words, if the Elf in slot 1 has the Void Witch's peril and Elf 2 also has the Void Witch's peril they would look the same given the peril state sprites. If I made 3 different sprites per enemy per state it would quickly increase the amount of artwork which I think should be all right... Right?
Hello Everyone!
Been doing some concept designs for two different game ideas. For now, they are known as Project VMC and Project Magical Girl.
Project VMC is about a trio of mages who can be put into peril similar to Mira Co Rescue; however, they also are capable of putting the enemy into peril as well. This system was programmed last week during the Picarto Stream where we tested the ability for the mages to put the enemy into stacking peril states which updates the enemy artwork based on the perils in addition to the player characters being put into peril as well. If either side is fully in peril (or are forced into peril due to 0HP) the battle ends with victory for whoever is not fully in peril. There would be 3 different styles of peril from the playable characters.
-The Void Witch - Corruption and void creatures are their primary focus of peril
-The Mimic Witch - Tentacles and mimics are their primary focus of peril
-Containment Witch - Bondage devices and other forms of summoned containment are their primary focus of peril
The combat system allows stacking of the initial type of peril and an item to determine who goes first in combat if you like a certain character's peril as the primary type you'd put enemies in. For example, if you like tentacles and want enemies in tentacle related content you can set her to have the equip item to go first and any peril applied to the enemy who has the Mimic Witch's peril already applied will stack that peril onto the enemy to avoid wasted actions. So, if all three witches hit the same enemy but the Mimic Witch went first, the enemy would get 3 stacks of Mimic Witch peril despite being hit by Void and Containment afterwards.
-----------------
Project Magical Girl has not been programmed yet; however, the battle mechanics would follow a similar system to Mira Co Rescue where there would be updating peril sprites; however, each player character would have two forms: A Magical Girl / Transformed Form and a Civilian / De-transformed form. When peril happens in Magical Girl form it slowly drains a resource with later stages draining it faster but the player would still be able to control the character's actions. When the resource drains completely, they revert to civilian form and are unable to fight back against perils and would be locked out of combat and instead would use other types of skills with their own set of peril states.
The three different magical girls are:
-Tired Office Lady (Sexy Librarian in Magical Girl Form with a transformable Magical Girl Wand / Staff)
-Goth Artist (Military Lolita in Magical Girl Form with a Large Paint Brush Polearm)
-Gyaru Blogger / Writer (Work in Progress Outfit with a Large Oversized Axe / Weapons)
I'll be streaming more character work tomorrow (Tuesday - 10/8/2024) evening on Picarto around 6PM CST if you'd like to stop by and chat. (Stream done!)
I'm curious what people think of these two types of game concepts so far, so feel free to comment below.
These designs are by no way final and are still in the concept phase.

Project VMC sounds more interesting out of these two games. Dishing out perils instead of only getting them sounds more fun.
As a fan of magical stories, I would prefer the first one over the second one.
both sounds great! im abit more to the fist one of the two, sounds cool to have 3 stages of peril/bondage for each enemy type, and for your own 3 characters. thats twise the fun as there where in mira co rescue! :)
I'm leaning towards the first. Simply fun idea to give stacking bondage to the enemies for once. But your art is so much fun and has a lot of life, character, and fun ideas into it honestly I want both games.
As long as they have some tasteful Bad Ends, then I'm all for it. You even made that Vore Bad End pretty decent without all of the gross details most vote tends to deal with.
